I’ll call her Princess. She is a freelance graphic designer, and today I am giving her a hand so she can focus on her work.

Right now I’m cuddling Princess and typing with one hand. She is really incredible. There just are not words to describe the feeling of holding a baby. Her hair is so soft and smells so nice.

And she cuddles right back, snuggling into my chest. She’s just so full of love. The world could learn a lesson from her.

Busy, busy, busy.

Not that I’m complaining, really. This has been a good week- very productive. Only bad thing has been that I haven’t worked out as much as I’d like.

I am looking into getting a new cell phone soon. My trusty blackberry is just aging and showing it. I’m actually thinking about biting the bullet and getting an Iphone. We’ll see.

I got to visit a friend in the hospital, both yesterday and today. She has been there for over a month and is just climbing the walls and ready to get out of there.

My mom has been sick for most of the day. She went to a pancake breakfast this morning for the school where she teaches, and must’ve eaten something bad there.

Not much else going on. I’m sure I will update again soon.

I haven’t been working out nearly enough, and I know I will pay for it when I do get to the gym and I struggle on the treadmill. But, it is what it is and I’ll manage. I refuse to attempt a shortcut to being healthy, like diet pills, since I know that those virtually always cause more problems than they solve. A few missed workouts won’t kill me- next week I’ll be back at the gym and working hard again.

I suppose I should run to the grocery store tomorrow to buy Blistex Fruit Smoothies- my favorite brand of lip balm, and it’s not sold at Wal-Mart! I actually probably need to go to a different grocery store later this week to shop a sale there. But I still feel like I’m forgetting something!

I’ve had lots of work, which is always great. It’s so reassuring to watch my bank account balance rise. I mean, I’m not wealthy, and I’m really not even close to the point where I could pay for retirement stuff like term life insurance rates. Good thing I don’t need to be at that point for a long time! I may even look into getting health insurance again soon- if only I can find a company willing to insure me!

Italy has hundreds of specially trained canine “lifedogs” that assist human lifeguards on the beaches.

I would totally love to be rescued by one of these! Forget humans- shoot, I’ve pretty much given up on men entirely. I’ll take a dog anyday!

I see the point that is made by these people, and in a way I see how it’s possible. But I just don’t think I could do it. It’s not the possessions thing- I could pare down my possessions to digital format. But there’s something about having your own address, your own bed, your own bathroom- it is a marker for your place in this world. It means something. It would be hard to give that up.
