This photo does not do it justice.  See, a Chicobag is a type of reusable bag, like the kind you use for groceries, or just about any time you need a bag to carry things.  But it’s not *just* a reusable bag.

Chicobag is “stuffable”.  It “stuffs” into this tiny pouch.  The pouch is attached to the bag, so you never lose it (it’s on an inside seam, so it also won’t rip off).  The pouch has an attached carabiner, so you can clip it onto or inside another bag, in your car, in your purse- just about anywhere.  It is lightweight (1.5oz) and inobtrusive.  If you have to make a last minute shopping trip or need a bag for any other reason, your Chicobag can hold up to 25 pounds.

Using a Chicobag is (obviously) good for the environment- it is better to use a reusable bag than a disposable paper or plastic bag.  But Chico’s rePETe bags are also made of 99% recycled content, which means they are even more good for the environment than typical reusable bags!  They are machine washable, which is especially good for lazy people like me. :-)

After I received this bag last week, almost immediately I put it to the test.  When I left home in the morning, I had to fill up my messenger bag with all kinds of computer stuff- my laptop and several cords, as well as a few other things I might need later in the day.  I clipped the Chicobag onto the strap of my messenger bag, “just in case”.  Sure enough, later that day I had to carry a few games.  Since I wouldn’t need all the stuff in my messenger bag, I left that behind and loaded up my ChicoBag.  I was able to easily fit three games in the bag, as well as a notebook, my keys, and my sunglasses.  The Chicobag carried all my things easily.  It felt sturdy- I never felt like the bag was strained.

I would definitely recommend the Chicobag! Did I mention that it doesn’t cost much either?  On the ChicoBag website, you can get the Original rePETe bag for only $9- and it’s worth every penny!
