I officially have no voice.

Yesterday, when I woke up, I was a little bit hoarse.  Nothing terrible, just felt like I’d maybe slept with my mouth open or was a bit sleep deprived.  I felt fine otherwise, so I got out of bed, got dressed, and went to church.

The hoarseness became progressively worse throughout the day.  Gambling on sleep deprivation as the cause, I purposely overslept this morning.

But when I awoke this morning, my voice was gone.  Gone, as in- nothing.  The loudest voice I can produce, if I really concentrate, is not quite as loud as a whisper.  I still feel fine- maybe a little tired, not a big appetite, but otherwise perfectly normal.

I’m a talkative person, so to have no voice is a STRANGE sensation for me.  When I open my mouth, there’s just nothing there.  I have an impulse to say something and I can’t.

I’m hoping and praying that this is just a weird laryngitis virus.  It surely must be, since it is hit me so quickly.
