Need a Host?

More and more lately, I’ve been paying attention to my complexion.  Yes, I’m a 20-something with annoying acne problems.  I started using Johnson and Johnson’s clean and clear, with benzoyl peroxide, and that actually works pretty well if I use it every day.  Some days, unfortunately, I’m just too lazy to use the clean and clear.  I shouldn’t be, because I’m quickly learning that skipping a day inevitably leads to a breakout.  But hey, I’m just a lazy person.

I also use a Tea Tree Oil face wash whenever I have to remove makeup.  That’s not too often, though, since I don’t wear makeup very often.  I’m almost out face wash, and chances are I won’t buy any more of this particular brand – it’s from the Body Shop, and very expensive, but my sister used to work there and got us fantastic prices on Body Shop products.

I take a multivitamin every day, which I’ve heard is among the best ways to keep your skin clear.  I don’t take a fancy vitamin like orovo, or any kind of women’s vitamin or anything like that.  It’s just a standard multivitamin, and usually the cheapest generic available.

I feel your pain when it comes to having acne problems; I’ve had bad acne since I started puberty which was around 12 or so…it sucked big time. It seemed to get worse as I got older and eventually had to go to the doctors to get meds prescribed for it, but like you I was lazy and didn’t keep up with it for very long.

I’m on the Pill too so that helps alot with my acne problems, and I started using a cream cleanser by Neutrogena about a month ago and it works really well.

I am an independent consultant for Arbonne, and when I used their acne stuff I found it worked really well. I use their mineral powder 90% off the time that I actually wear makeup and it does pretty well.

i had pretty bad acne up until i was in my early 20s (!). i really attribute clearing it up to finding the right combination of cleanser/moisturizer/make up for my face. maybe you want to try different formulas? i know it’s scary, though, trying stuff and then wondering if it’s going to get worse. :(

I still have bad acne. I use an all natural lemongrass and citrus exfoliater (it’s like a rinse). I love that stuff :)
