My mom and I are watching Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. This is a rerun of the one where they are building a house in Virgina. Very cool – they’re building the home on a Civil War battlefield. That would be a very cool place to live.
Speaking of the Civil War, I’m researching it right now for a story I’m writing. It’s an absolutely fascinating period of history.

i love watching extreme make over home edition. 90% of the time, i cry. i think it’s wonderful how everyone joins together to help families..now, only if everyone did that. it’d be a wonderful world, huh? lol.

Oh man, jess, me too! I mean, it’s so incredible to see all these people come together for a “house raising”! Can you imagine how much better the world would be if we could all do that? (and I’m pointing a finger at myself too, because I’m just as guilty as the next guy.) Talk about world changing!

I love the show, too. It’s actually one of the few TV shows we watch with our daughters (who are only 6 and 3 mind you) that they really enjoy, and there is a great message! OK, so our 6-year-old is truly the kiddo who “gets it.”
