Once upon a time, an optimistically naive young lady started a blog. She thought, “I won’t write about politics- I don’t want to offend anyone and besides, there’s plenty of other stuff to write about!”
Then, this naive young lady grew up and learned that talking about politics will bring more hits to her blog.
At some point, the naive young lady realized that it didn’t bother her anymore if she offended someone.
So now this no-longer-naive young lady (that’s me, if you haven’t picked up on that) will tell you exactly how she/I feel. If you don’t like it, I’m sorry. If you are offended, I’m sorry. But this is MY blog and MY opinion, and you are more than welcome to start your own blogs.
I welcome comments, but I ask that we keep things respectful. I don’t mind a friendly “agree-to-disagree” debate. But I will do the best I can to be respectful towards all people with all political views, and I ask that you do the same. (Also, I will not delete/edit comments unless they become abusive.)
So, here I am: I am very interested in politics. I love reading the news and staying current on election news. I am a writer, and I am far from wealthy but I consider myself very blessed. Currently I have no health insurance.
I briefly studied economics in college, and minored in history and social studies.
I am a liberal-libertarian-conservative. I am VERY fiscally conservative, bordering on libertarianism. Personally, I am extremely morally conservative, but my political and personal views on moral issues are often quite different- politically, I tend to be a little bit more liberal in those views. Politically, I am definitely conservative.
