even history doesn’t last forever

A historic building in Oak Grove, Missouri burned to the ground this week.  Events like this always reminds me that, for all of our work to preserve buildings and artifacts, true history will only last in our memory.  Buildings will eventually be destoryed.  Artifacts will be lost or will deteriorate.  Even photographs are destructible.  True history will only last in our memories.  Thank God that he gave us such good minds!
