david cook and why i don’t care about american idol
I live in Kansas City.
David Cook is from Kansas City.
As the local celebrity of the moment, David Cook’s face adorns every newspaper. Parties are being held in his honor. Every night on the news, we are encouraged to call American Idol and vote for him.
Yesterday I received an email from my university’s alumni association. Turns out David Cook also went to the same university as I. The alumni association, for once, is not asking for money; they want us to vote for David Cook.
I think I’ve been pushed over the edge. If one more person asks me to vote for David Cook, I will begin an anti-David-Cook-and-all-things-American-Idol campaign. Seriously folks – I just really don’t care.

VOTE FOR DAVID COOK!

I take it you are a fan of American Idol…
And I’m guessing you are attempting to spam bloggers in an attempt to get more votes for David Cook…
But you absolutely will not be getting a vote from me. Not because I am against David Cook, or American Idol… I just don’t care about it enough to vote. I prefer “American Experience” to “American Idol”. Sorry Shanelle.

You are bitter and sound crazy. I would think you would support a local boy who went to the same college as you.
Get over yourself, bitter!
Wow.
You must be a huge David Cook fan.
I never said I don’t support David Cook. I just don’t care. Whoever wins- whatever, I really just don’t care. I don’t watch American Idol and I have no desire to watch American Idol. I also have no desire to be bombarded with American Idol advertising and paraphernalia.
I’m sorry that you believe this makes me bitter. I hope you’ll leave a message with your real name – you sound like a passionate person and I’d love to get to know you.

I think hes hot! I didnt vote but I would of voted for him. He seemed to have it together a little better than the other David. The Other David seemed a bit young. Id hate to see this world corrupt such a sweet young man. Not that I care to see the other David be corrupted.. but he is older and I think has a bit more experience.
I didn’t vote for him either but I do think I agree… if I had to choose one of them I would’ve gone for David Cook. You are absolutely right, David Archuleta seems very young, although in Hollywood terms I guess he’s not “that” young. I didn’t watch American Idol that much, but from what I saw I liked David Cook’s voice better as well. Plus, like you said, David Cook seems a bit older and more able to handle everything.
Your blog is interesting!
Keep up the good work!
